How do I convince you that you are who God says you are?
Believing this truth took some time for me to receive and hold onto, and I’m still working on it in certain areas. Who does God say I am? God says you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. He says you are His beloved. You are royalty and you belong to Me! You must believe and receive God’s truths about who you are. Believe His Word!
But, how do I convince you? I don’t….the Holy Spirit does. It takes the Spirit of God, living inside of you to spiritually mold you into the Father’s good pleasure. It takes His living Word to capture your heart. But if you don’t read His word how will you ever know who you are? Reading and meditating on God’s word opens your eyes, and renews your spirit. His divine word speaks to your heart, mind and spirit. After all, in your mind and heart is where the battle begins and where change takes place. True and real change starts with the renewing of ones mind and surrendering your heart fully to God. Romans 12:1-2, “I deseech thee therefore my brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, for this is your reasonable service, and be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
When the world sees you one way and your Father sees you another way, what do you do?! You seek prayer time with the Lord, communing with Him and making discoveries about yourself. Discoveries that would otherwise be lost unless you seek Him. He said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be open unto you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and the one who knocks, the door will be opened”, Matthew 7:7-8.
You must believe you are who God says you are. You must be determined to explore and find your true heritage. Your true identity. Christ came to show you the Way and the Holy Spirit empowers you to walk in His ways. It’s a daily journey walking and talking to Him. And it’s yours for the asking. You must choose to believe!
Everyday, remind yourself of Whose you are and acknowledging Who you belong to. And don’t allow anyone to tell you differently. You are rich with power. Enriched with Power from on high. The powerful, shed blood of Christ set you free to become everything God fashioned you to be. You are His heir. His chosen people. A royal priesthood. Dare to walk in your heritage with the One who designed you! You’re stronger than you think you are and His Holy Spirit dwells within you. Tap into it?! Make your own discoveries about you and not the world’s view of you.
